Tirta empul temple



Tirta Empul Temple is a holy spring water temple located in Tampak Siring village,it is about 35 km from Denpasar town. the spring are believed to have magical powers,so the temple is inportant.The actual springs bubble up into a large,crystal clear tank within the temple and gush out through water spouts into a bathing pool.

Tanah lot tample


Tanah Lot temple is located in coastal side of Beraban contryside,Kediri subdistrict,Tabanan regency. It is situated in 25 km or about 30 minutes in west side of Kuta town.The temple is built on the rock (temple on the ocean). This temple is very famous among tourist destination in Bali with spactacular view of sunset. around Tanah Lot temple there are holy snake in black and white color where according to the local people believe that is as a deity property and as the guard of the temple from the bad influence.
Philosophy of Tanah Lot Temple
Tanah Lot is consist of two words, that are Tanah and Lot. Tanah word meaning land, Lot or Lod word has meaning the sea, so Tanah Lot is the meaning land on the sea (small island floating on the sea).

The function of this temple can be realized from the function of the main temple building.which is located in the temple main area. In this place there is main temple to worship the god of dewa baruna (ocean god) or Bhatara Segara,the temple sea power.


Besakih tample

Besakih is the biggest Hindu temple in Bali which the local people call Pura Besakih. Ulundanu Temple is Located in Bedugul Village, Tabanan Regency, About 60 km from Denpasar City, the temple of the Lake Goddes at Bratan is one of Bali’s most visited and most spiritually important balinese temple.The focus of numerous ceremonies and pilgrimages to ensure supplies the water, the temple sits on the lake. Ulun Danu Temple has clasical Hindu thatched roof ( multi roofed shrine ) called Meru. Perched on tiny island just offshore that are best known. The unforgettable setting is typically Balinese : At the edge of Bratan Lake irises bloom in shades of yellow, fuchsia and magenta, young girls and old men fish in clusters among the tiger lilies, the misty peak of a dormant volcano emerges in the distance. it’s very picturesque. Its very favorite direction for Bali.
Ulun Danu Bratan located on the west side of Lake Bratan, Bedugul highlands at an altitude of 1239 meters above sea level. Lake Bratan itself used to be a part of the crater of Mount Chester. As a center for irrigation on the island of Bali, this temple was built to worship the goddess Dewi Danu or lake. Congregation came to worship here and pray expect an abundant harvest. Based on ancient manuscripts of the Kingdom of Mengwi, Ulun Danu Bratan was built in 1633 by I Gusti Agung Putu / Agung Anom, King Mengwi. After passing through the main gate, there is a large stupa with carving, and then look to the main temple Pura Lotus Bang. There is also a smaller temple Pura Dalem Purwa, which was built to worship the goddess of food and beverages. On the edge of the lake there are also two-storey temple with Meru. Large with 11-degree Meru is home to the god of Mount Mangu guard. Mount Mangu itself is the abode of Lord Vishnu, so that the temple was built to worship the god Vishnu.Another temple is the Linga plots that are smaller and more toward the middle of the lake. Pura with Meru 3-level was built to worship the god Shiva, and can only be reached by boat. When the temple was renovated in 1968, found 3 pieces of stone are round and long on the foundation, each of red, white, and black. The white stone believed to be the symbol of Lord Shiva phallus which symbolizes fertility.

Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of Bali's kayangan jagat (directional temples) and guards Bali from evil spirits in which dwell major deities, in Uluwatu's case; Bhatara Rudra, God of the elements and of cosmic force majeures. Bali's most spectacular temples located high on a cliff top at the edge of a plateau 200 feet above the waves of the Indian Ocean. Uluwatu lies at the southern tip of Bali in Badung Regency. Dedicated to the spirits of the sea, the famous Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple is an architectural wonder in black coral rock, beautifully designed with spectacular views. This is a popular place to enjoy the sunset. Famous not only for its unique position, Uluwatu also boasts one of the oldest temples in Bali, Pura Uluwatu. Most of Bali's regencies have Pura Luhur (literally high temples or ascension temples) which become the focus for massive pilgrimages during three or five day odalan anniversaries.

Fourth stop at Kintamani Volcano(Batur Mount),has been volatile for hundreds of thousands of years,there were more than 20 minor eruptions between 1824 and 1994,and major eruptions in 1917,1926 and 1963.As recently as November 1997,about 3000 minor tremors were recorded.This area as a double caldera,one crater inside another.

Tegallalang Ricefield Terrace, this ricefield terrace is beautiful view with coconut trees and beautiful small valley. Tegallalang village is village for handicraft specially for wholesale and export. A long the road we can see a lot of handicraft shops wiith variety things like painted wood carving,lamp decoration,balinese umbrella and etc.

Ubud

Monkey Forest Ubud, this area we can see a lot of friendly monkeys,temple,river and awesome Banyan Tree Root. The monkeys within the sacred monkey forest of Padang Tegal Ubud are commonly called long tailed macaques.

Ubud Palace and Traditional Market,Ubud Palace is an Ubud Kingdom palace with beautiful Balinese traditional houses as a residence of Ubud King. Traditional market located in the east of art market. The traditional market sell foods,vegetables and ceremony equipment,it is open earlier.And art market sell handicraft and textiles.

Last trip...Goa Gajah Temple(Elephant Cave Temple),there were never any elephant on Bali.The cave take this name because perhaps the face over the cave entrance might resemble an elephant.This carving was created by fingernail of legendary giant Kebo Iwa,probably at least to the 11th century.And inside this cave there are Lingga Yoni symbol of Hindu god Shiva and Shiva son,and elephant headed god Ghanesh.
