KINTAMANI VOLCANO - TEMPLE TOUR


Start at 08.30am

First...we will stop at Batubulan village see Barong and Keris Dance.The start at 09.30am and finish at 10.30am.The Barong play represent an eternal fight between good and evil spirit.A Barong(mythological animal) represent good spirit and a Rangda(mythological monster) represent evil one.And Balinese people believed that Barong is symbol of protector.

Second stop at Art Village, it is mean visit Batik and Stone carving in Batubulan village and than Gold and Silver smith in Celuk village,there are a lot of huge gold and siver shop in this village.Painting village,it is in Batuan and Lod Tunduh village,the artists in these village create variety of painting.And next art village is wood carving village in Mas and Kemenuh villages.
No entrance fee...


Next destination...we are stop just few minutes in Batuan Temple,see local temple in Batuan village with awesome decoration.This temple called Pura Desa Lan Pura Puseh desa ada Batuan.

Fourt stop at Kintamani Volcano(Batur Mount),has been volatile for hundreds of thousand of years.There were more than 20 minor eruptions between 1824 and 1994,and major eruptions in 1917,1926 and 1963.As recently as November 1997,about 3000 minor tremors were recorded.This area as a double caldera,one crater inside another.

On the way back from Kintamani volcano we stop at Bali coffee Agrotourism,Bali coffee processing and farming,coffee Luwak(civet cat coffee) and spices.The place to see various of plantation such as coffee arabica,coffee robusta,Balinese snake skin fruit(salak),jack fruit,cocoa,vanilla and etc.For the special one stop here we can drink some coffee,chocolate and tea,(free for taste).

Next...Tirta Empul Temple(Holy Spring Water Temple) at Tampaksiring village.The temple has built around the spring,the spring are believed to have magical power...so the temple is inportant.The actual spring bubble up into large,crystal clear tank within the temple and gush out through waterspouts into bathing pool.

Continue to the next trip...Gunung Kawi Temple,it is consists of 10 rock cut shrines,memorials cut out of the rock face in imitation of actual statue.They stand in 7m high sheltered niches cut into the sheer cliff face.The shrines located about 30 minutes or 300 hundreds stairway from entrance post further down the valley.

Last trip...Goa Gajah Temple(Elephant Cave Temple),there were never any elephant on Bali.The cave take this name because perhaps the face over the cave entrance might resemble an elephant.This carving was created by fingernail of legendary giant Kebo Iwa,probably at least to the 11th century.And inside this cave there are Lingga Yoni symbol of Hindu god Shiva and Shiva son,and elephant headed god Ghanesh.
